BCP Cognitive Intervention Groups for Young Learners
(Grade R - Grade 3)

The Basic Concepts Programme builds essential thinking skills that help children succeed in all school subjects, especially in math, spelling, reading, and writing.

  •  Two Basic Concepts Sessions per week are run over 3 months
  •  Mediators facilitate small group Basic Concepts Sessions
  •  The programme actively involves parents/teachers/caregivers

The BCP Intervention Groups are run by Master BCP Mediators in Cape Town.

I am extremely grateful for being exposed to this programme … I'm always worried about those learners who are not progressing. The programme can support these learners in order to lay the foundation for academic progress. Practically my whole class needs this Foundation!!! How can I start with formal teaching if they do not know their Basics.
