Strategic Implementation in Action: The MEED Project Year 2.
The Basic Concepts Foundation is pleased to share an update on our collaboration with the Metro East Education District.
As we move into the final year of this project, our focus has shifted from theoretical training to applied classroom integration.
Our 2026 strategy involves 6 targeted site visits, each focusing on a specific conceptual domain. By tracking interventions within 55 Grade R and Grade 1 classes, we are extending the capacity of the District to sustain the Basic Concepts Programme (BCP) long-term.
Key milestones this quarter:
- January: Successful Refresher Session for all project teachers.
- February: Completion of "Stop 1" (Colour) support visits, addressing specific pedagogical needs in the classroom.
