20 teachers at 8 primary schools and 5 ECD Centres have received classroom support over a period of three years.

The first mentoring session with the practitioners at the centre went off very well.

42 Grade R practitioners received their BCP Mediators' Certificates at an Awards Ceremony at Springbok Primary School on the 20th March 2012.

The Test of Basic Concepts Knowledge has been administered annually to Grade 1 learners since the start of the project. In 2010 baseline data was gathered from learners at all project schools.

To become certified mediators of the BCP teachers are required to implement the programme under supervision for one year.  This includes on-site mentoring in their classrooms.
