Spatial concepts provide young learners with opportunities to develop much more than positional vocabulary. Through hands-on experience, meaningful language and guided thinking, children begin to describe relationships, consider perspective and explain their reasoning.
During Metro East Education District Support Visit 4, we saw teachers and learners putting this approach into practice in Foundation Phase classrooms.
